The Dambusters Skyline Hike - A Day To Remember

A Global Gathering with Purpose

On Saturday the 19th of July, Team TSSI laced up their boots, braved the rain and tackled the much-anticipated Dambusters Skyline Hike in the breath-taking Peak District. From Dallas to Mauritius, teammates flew in to join our London crew, proving that when it comes to purpose and pride, distance is no obstacle.

As Nipam Patel, TSSI CEO, put it:

“For us, this wasn't just a challenge—it was a commitment. A way to give back to those who’ve given so much. It brought our global team together in a meaningful way—giving us the chance to step outside our usual routines, connect with one another and contribute to a cause that truly matters.”

And what a day it was.

Laughter, Team Spirit and a Shared Mission

The hike was packed with laughs, running jokes and plenty of cheeky moments – We had teammates turning hill climbs into impromptu races and others bribing each other out of rest stops with the promise of chocolate. It was a mission filled with memories we will never forget but more than anything, it was defined by camaraderie and a shared mission—no egos, no competition, just one team walking with purpose.

A huge shoutout to the brilliant crew at RAW Adventures who guided us every (sometimes slippery) step of the way. Their support ensured no one was left behind. That spirit of inclusion was especially felt as our USA MD, Tim Koirtyohann—fresh from completing chemotherapy—showed us all what grit, heart and positivity can achieve. His courage inspired us deeply and we’re incredibly proud to walk beside him.

The Trail Gave Us Everything

As we passed landmarks like the Derwent Reservoir—where RAF pilots once trained for the legendary Dambusters missions—we paused to reflect. This wasn’t just a hike. It was a tribute. A moment to honour the veterans and the incredible work of Help for Heroes.

The trail gave us everything: panoramic views, heroic snack stashes, surprise leg cramps and a full ab workout from all the laughing. Through the mud and miles, we were reminded that success isn’t always about KPIs or bottom lines. Sometimes, it’s about showing up for each other and walking together for something bigger than ourselves.

Mission Accomplished—and Then Some

We set out to raise £3,000 for Help for Heroes—and we’re thrilled to say we’ve surpassed our goal! If you’d still like to contribute, donations are warmly welcomed.

We’re incredibly grateful to Siobhan Warren and Honesty Lewis from Help for Heroes for embracing our collaborative spirit and to Jason for capturing the magic through his lens. A heartfelt thank you to RAW Adventures for their energy and expert guidance - we couldn't have completed this challenge without you. Tony from CasualTees  for keeping us kitted out and comfy and to every single person who donated and cheered us on—you were with us every step of the way.

This wasn’t just a hike. It was a reminder of what we can achieve when we walk together—with purpose, pride and a whole lot of heart.

With gratitude,
The TSSI Team
