A Day of Connection and Celebration

On Tuesday the 28th of November, TSSI had the opportunity to visit the Mamohato ECD Centre in Bekezela, a township located near one of South Africa’s largest power stations and facing significant socio-economic challenges. We were honoured to spend time at the centre and witness the incredible work they are doing for the children in their community.

Responding to a Need

Our Team in South Africa, learned through their relationship with a local community leader that the centre was in need of basic kitchen supplies to help make mealtimes easier. Our team decided that we, in true TSSI spirit, would turn this into a celebration - because if there’s one thing we know how to do well, it’s to celebrate, no matter the occasion.

And celebrate we did.

Armed with kitchen supplies, gas cylinders, cakes, and party packs, we arrived at Mamohato and were met with heart-melting smiles, beautiful songs from the children, and the warmest team of carers you could ever hope to meet. We sang, we danced, and we gave thanks together.

The staff at Mamohato expressed their gratitude for TSSI’s contribution to their kitchen, sharing that the supplies would make a real difference to their daily routines and help ease some of the pressure they experience everyday.

Powered by People, Driven by Purpose

TSSI’s tagline is Powered by People, Driven by Purpose. As leaders, we are often asked what this means to us. Moments like these is exactly what it means. We work each day to create opportunities, design strategies, support job creation, and build solutions. To do that, we need people. When those opportunities and people come together, we find purpose — purpose within ourselves and purpose to go into the world and make change, no matter how big or how small.

Growth Through Giving

This past year, TSSI has grown tremendously as a company. That growth is driven by moments like this — moments that humble us, ground us, and push us to work harder so that we can continue to create meaningful impact.

Ubuntu: I Am Because We Are

There is a word we use in South Africa: Ubuntu.
It means, “I am because we are.”

This philosophy was alive in every moment we spent at Mamohato. The experience reminded us that our growth as a company is not measured solely by numbers or milestones but by the connections we build and the lives we touch.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Mamohato for welcoming us and for the extraordinary work you do each day. Thank you to Khulu Radebe, our fearless community leader, and to all the children for your beautiful music, your smiles, and the joy you shared with us.

A special thank you to Hashtag 13 Entertainment who performed for us. It is inspiring to see them use their art to educate and encourage the local children.

As we reflect on our visit, we are reminded that real change happens in small, consistent acts of kindness and solidarity. TSSI remains committed to supporting communities like Mamohato, not just through resources, but through genuine partnership and shared humanity.

You reminded us of our purpose — that no one gets left behind or forgotten.
